Last year, CITY stumbled across a video on Instagram of an American Hockey League team, the Hershey Bears, and its annual Teddy Bear Toss. When the Bears scored their first goal at this game, the spectators threw teddy bears on to the ice rink. We’re not talking about a couple hundred stuffed animals. They threw over 50,000! on the ice! The team then donates all of the teddy bears to 25 different local children’s charities in the Hershey area. It moved us to do the same!

CITY and The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, which provides shelter and guidance for homeless families, have partnered for our 2nd Annual Bring a Bear Valentine’s Drive. These teddy bears will be given to the children who currently reside at the shelter and to any children who arrive in the future.
Please join us in this project and share a little ❤️!
Bring a Teddy Bear (or 2!) to CITY by Saturday, February 12th.
It is a reality that the club volleyball season is long with lots of practices, tournaments, travel and emotional ups and downs for both the players and their families. Stef Wigfall, CITY Owner and Director, and Dolly Klock, renown family physician and founder of Adolessons, go deep into the issues that families and players may confront during a club season. They talk about the emotional and physical challenges, the roller coasters of wins and loses and how to understand what might be going on a higher level with youth, female players.
Along with the high level of training during the season there is stress from schoolwork, puberty and social pressure that each of the girls will confront during these months. Dolly and Stef Wigfall give insight and tools on how to support your daughter.
